Everything to have ready for Claude Certified Associate, delivered by Pearson VUE online or at a test center. The ID, closed-book, and check-in rules come from Anthropic's Partner Academy FAQ; the pacing and stakes below are this exam's own numbers.

CCAO-F tip: This is a no-code exam, so nothing you build or run is tested - expect scenario questions about how you would prompt, evaluate, configure, and govern Claude in a work setting. Output Evaluation & Validation is the heaviest domain, so practise spotting hallucinations, internal contradictions, and one-sided framing under time pressure.

Unmarked items come from Anthropic's Partner Academy certifications FAQ. Items marked † are Pearson VUE's generally published online-proctoring and test-center practice, which the FAQ does not spell out - confirm them in your own booking email. Last checked 2026-09-21.
Online proctoring (OnVUE) is not available in some countries and regions - the FAQ lists Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and restricted parts of Ukraine, and says exam delivery to Iran was suspended as of 8 September 2026. If you are in or near one of these, check the FAQ before booking.

What ID do I need for the CCAO-F exam?
One valid, government-issued photo ID, presented at check-in whether you test online or at a test center. The name on it must match the name on your exam record.
How much time do I have per question on the CCAO-F exam?
60 questions in 120 minutes works out to about 120 seconds per question, with about 135 minutes of total seat time once check-in is included.
Can I use notes or a translation tool during the CCAO-F exam?
No. The exams are closed book, and browser translation tools are not permitted in Pearson's proctoring platform.
What happens if I fail the CCAO-F exam?
You wait 14 days, then 30 days, then 90 days before retaking, pay the $99 fee again, and have up to 4 attempts total in a 12-month window.
